Snowy weather adds an extra challenge to conference preparations

The weather this Sunday morning in Paris is bright, clear and a rather warm + 3 degrees Celsius.
We would like to wish all delegates and participants travelling to our ESRC Genomics Network annual conference a safe journey. Some light snow is forecast but we have hot coffee and warm croissants to welcome you at registration on Monday.

Last week the advance party for the conference were having a tough time getting to Paris as snow continued to fall across much of the UK and Edinburgh Airport was closed.  But fear not – by plane, train(s), metro and foot - they have safely arrived and everything is now in place for what we modestly predict will be an excellent conference.

Our conference is being held, for the first time, in partnership with the OECD and for those delegates who have not previously visited their very chic conference facilities - please prepare to be impressed.
Registration opens from 8am on Monday 6 December. Please remember you will need to bring a photo ID for security.

If you are keen to follow the conference discussions exploring the recent advances in life sciences, but are not amongst our invited delegates – why not join us on line? To preview the topics under discussion at our ‘Delivering Global Promise Through the Life Sciences’ Conference visit the ESRC Genomics Forum's YouTube channel

During the conference this blog - Conf2010.blogspot.com - will bring you regular reports from key sessions - offering a perfect way for you to keep in touch with all the debates. But we would also like to hear your views and comments. So please join in the debate on-line.

And you can also follow the action on Twitter using hashtag #conf2010.
